Gmail & Google Apps SMTP Settings in Interspire Email Marketer 6

Interspire Email Marketer 6 is one of the best-performing email marketing scripts. Fortunately, you can use your existing Gmail or Google Apps email account in Interspire Email Marketer 6.

To ensure it work, correct SMTP Server details are required.

The table below is the setting for using Gmail or Google Apps email account with Interspire Email Marketer 6.

Gmail Google Apps
SMTP Hostname ssl://smtp.gmail.com ssl://smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Username <your email>@gmail.com <your email>@<your domain>
SMTP Password <your password> <your password>
SMTP Port 465 465

  • i tried this for the google apps however i keep getting a error saying can’t connect to the server.

    i tried to use these settings, but i get the message, login credential are wrong… Has anyone an idea?

    What´s about yahoo. How can i use yahoo in my interspire?

  • Meanwhile i solve the problem: i had to unlock my gmail account with this link for 10 min.

    than i tested my MTA-settings again. Now its working fine.

    Nevertheless i have still a problem using yahoo in my interspire. Can anyone help me?

  • Actually, I have fully hosted a Intrespire, but I want to test a my own smtp on Interspire as a gmail smtp.
    So, .
    Go to Setting>>Email setting>> checked my own smtp
    and put a
    smtp hostname : ssl://smtp.gmail.com
    smtp username: my mail id
    smtp password: password
    smtp port: 465

    when I test smtp;
    have some error massage is that
    “”A test email has not been successfully sent to the email address [email protected]: Login failed, please check the username and password and try again.””
    I don’t know where I am wrong(user name and password is correct)…?
    so please Help me on that Sir.. please

    • Sometimes Google block access from “unusual” IP address. Have you login to your GMail account by using normal browser? You will be notified if Google block your IP address.
